Overview
The Australian Journal of Education (AJE) was established in 1957 under the editorship of Professor Bill Connell. Drawing upon research conducted in Australia and internationally, the AJE aims to inform educational researchers as well as educators, administrators and policymakers about issues of contemporary concern in education.
As many of you will be aware as of Volume 57, Issue 1, 2013 the Australian Journal of Education will be published by SAGE Publications.
SAGE has over 45 years experience publishing journals and we are delighted to be able to hand the production of the journal over to such capable hands. The AJE will still be based at the Australian Council for Educational Research, with Glenn Rowley continuing as Editor. This ensures that the AJE will remain the same quality journal to which you have given your loyalty. The only changes will be in the methods of production and delivery.
In making this change, we hope that we can build a larger readership for the AJE, while providing an enhanced level of service to our subscribers and readers. We will naturally make every effort to ensure that the transition happens as smoothly as possible and would welcome any comments or queries you may have.
