Monitoring Trends in Educational Growth (MTEG) is a collaborative and flexible approach for education systems to gain powerful information about growth and trends in learning. MTEG enables education stakeholders to develop and implement a robust learning assessment in partnership with ACER. Working collaboratively with internationally renowned experts, education stakeholders build capacity in state-of-the art assessment principles and quality standards. This series features some of the learning and insights on growth and trends in learning from MTEG.

MTEG was developed by the Global Education Monitoring (GEM) Centre, a long-term partnership between ACER and the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). The GEM Centre supports the monitoring of education worldwide to drive improvements in learning.
