Classroom behaviour : a developmental management approach

Abstract

A developmental management approach to classroom behaviour, utilised consistently, can increase student responsibility and substantially reduce teacher stress, the author argues. He discusses a number of techniques demonstrating how to handle classroom behaviour, and evaluates the outcome of the decrease in authoritarian attitudes over the past 50 years, in addition to the temporary nature of professional development sessions, the importance of values, and the prevalence of teacher stress.
