Walkabout

Abstract

All students should have access to schools that are structured to adequately prepare them for the real needs and demands of their lives. Returning from a trip to Canada, the author observes several schools that have implemented the many principles of self-directed learning as advocated by Canadian educator Maurice Gibbons.
