Abstract
The forty-sixth annual report of the Australian Council for Educational Research opens with announcements of the sudden death of the Director of ACER, Dr William C. Radford on the morning of 25 November 1976; and the deaths of Dr Kenneth S Cunningham, Professor Christopher Ralph McRae, and Mr Henry Schoenheimer. The Annual Report of the Director includes reports on the Council's work for 1975-76 including: Surveys; Reviews and Comparative Studies; Curriculum Innovation and Evaluation; Experimental and Analytical Studies; Test Research, Development. Service and Maintenance; Library; Advisory Services; Distribution Service; Publishing; Staff Matters; Buildings and Accommodation; and Finance.
