Noted : record keeping for the 21st century

Abstract

Using information and communications technology to plan lessons, manage student details and record student achievement for real, individualised feedback is possible using the author's ICT solution, My Class Record. This software can be stored on a teacher's network drive or a specific place on the school's network, using free third-party software called GoodSync. My Class Record can be used to: design course structures that can be reused and perfected each year; assign students to classes; manage student details; create and view timetable and calendars in days, weeks, months and terms; mark students' work, using software to calculate overall grades; set assignments and manage this week by week; manage attendance week by week; and, generate individualised and other reports, lists and customised check-lists in Excel for easy printing.
