It’s with great pleasure that I introduce the first issue of Teacher, Australia’s premier national monthly education magazine for teachers and school leaders.

Many readers will already know the magazine, formerly called Educare News and now part of the suite of publications produced by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER). Re-named and re-launched, Teacher offers immense benefits: it’s a new magazine for all educators backed by ACER, Australia’s leading educational research body and quality provider of products and services to Australian schools; and at the same time it’s a magazine that has been providing editorial of the highest quality for educators since 1987. The best national education magazine across all independent, Catholic and state schools just became even better.
