Abstract

The report of the Executive Officer discusses the Council’s relationship with the Carnegie Corporation, the problem of future support, Support from Teachers' Unions, visitors’ grants, plans for the New Education Fellowship Conference, the Conference on education in Pacific countries held at Honolulu in July, 1936, the Committee on Secondary Education, standardization of tests and the work of the Library Group. The report includes updates from each of the state institutes for educational research, and lists the Members of Council, 1935-1936 and the publications of the Council.
