The chapter focuses on child protection, legislation and policy, including the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations (2019) and the Victorian Child Safe Standards in relation to practice and what it means to be a child safe organisation. By reading this chapter, educators will understand some of the circumstances that can put young children at risk and how to keep children safe.
